Privacy policy
We collect no personal data unless you email us. The launch finder can use your location only inside your browser to sort results; it isn't sent to us. Cloudflare may log standard request data. If ads are shown, Google may use cookies; see Google's policy.
River pages load live readings straight from USGS and NOAA/NWS in your browser, so those services see a standard request from you.
Paddler reports
If paddler reports are turned on and you send one, we store the page, the date you paddled, your text and your optional photo. We don't ask for an account, name or email. Photos are resized and re-saved in your browser, and we remove remaining metadata (including camera and GPS location) on our server. To stop abuse we keep a one-way scrambled code made from your IP address for up to 24 hours; we don't store the IP itself. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you're human; see Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy notice. Nothing is published until we approve it, and we can remove any report. To ask us to remove one, email [email protected] with the page and date.
